Candlelight Peace Vigil Feedback

Last night's Candlelight Peace Vigil was a great success, with a few residents from the neighbourhood getting together and lighting candles and holding their torches in the Edgemead Bowling Club's hall.

The highlight of the evening was the parade of ADT, District Watch, OCP, Medical Services and Bothasig SAPS vehicles driving through the quiet streets of Edgemead with flashing blue, red and white lights as well as sirens. It was nice to see a few residents come outside of their houses to see what the commotion was as well as give a smile and wave.

To us, this is just the beginning to a successful "campaign" for Edgemead Neighbourhood Watch. This shows that there are those in the community that are willing to stand together as one to stop crime's arm reaching into our beautiful area.
